On 15 February 2026 at 10:45, the 4th Almond Festival will take place in the village of Salamiou (Paphos district). The event will be held at the Environmental Educational Centre and is dedicated to almond blossom, the arrival of spring, and Cypriot village traditions. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a warm and authentic celebration in one of the most picturesque mountain villages of the region.
Guests can expect a cultural programme, local products, and a welcoming festive atmosphere surrounded by nature and blooming almond trees.
After the festival, at 13:00, everyone is invited to Lagria Tavern for a special almond-themed lunch. The meal is served as a generous shared village buffet. The price is €25 per person, including selected Lagria wines.
The menu features traditional Cypriot dishes prepared with almonds, including fresh bread with almond and herb dips, village salads, pastitsio with almond-based béchamel, slow-roasted chicken in lemon sauce with almond and vine fruit, rice with herbs, almonds and raisins, roast pork with almonds, and a sweet table inspired by spring blossoms. Desserts include baklava, galaktoboureko, éclairs, apple pie, chocolate cake and other almond and honey-based treats. Coffee, tea or traditional soumada (almond drink) will be served at the end.
