Experience traditional Cypriot culture at the Lysos Cultural Festival, taking place on 16 August 2026 in the village of Lysos in the Paphos district.
This annual village celebration brings together live music, traditional dancing, local food and customs, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy an authentic summer evening in the Paphos countryside.
Live Music and Traditional Dancing
The evening programme will feature live music by SCORPIOS, with performances by Giorgos Hatzis and Marina Angelou.
Traditional Cypriot dances will be presented by the Ieroi Kipoi Cultural Group, adding another element of local culture to the festival programme.
Traditional Food and Resi
Visitors will be able to enjoy food, drinks and sweets during the festival, including resi, a traditional Cypriot dish closely connected with village celebrations and local customs.
Earlier in the day, at 10:30, a traditional preparation of resi will take place at the old mill in Lysos, giving visitors the opportunity to see part of the traditional process associated with this local dish.
