On March 21 at 18:00, Technopolis 20 in Paphos presents a chamber music recital featuring cellist Robertas Grod and pianist Maria de los Ángeles Iglesias. The programme spans from the Baroque period to the 20th century, including works by Bach / Marcello, Andronikos, Rossini, Gardel, Rachmaninov, and Gershwin.

About the musicians:
Maria de los Ángeles Iglesias is a pianist and professor at the University of Brasilia, currently based in Cyprus. She began her musical studies in Spain and continued in Vienna at the University of Music and Performing Arts under Professor Hans Graf, where she obtained her Master’s degree with highest distinction. She is a prize winner of several international piano competitions, including Manuel de Falla (Spain), Bösendorfer (Austria), and Alessandro Casagrande (Italy). She has performed in major European venues such as the Musikverein in Vienna and Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Her recordings and performances have received critical acclaim.
Robertas Grod is a Lithuanian cellist born in 1991. He began studying cello at the age of six and later graduated with honours from the Moscow State Conservatory. He is a laureate of international competitions, including First Prize at the Kozolupov International Cello Competition in Moscow. He is currently based in Cyprus, where he performs regularly and teaches at the Music Academy of the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus Youth Orchestra, and music schools. In 2023 he appeared as a soloist with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and in 2024 recorded the CD “Enarxis” with the Fusiona Quartet.
