Under the creative direction of contemporary flamenco star David Gutierrez, this production not only pays tribute to Prosper Mérimée’s work, but also reflects the cultural diversity of Barcelona.
The art of flamenco is energy born from the rhythm of heels, from changes in tempo and inner strength that flows through the performer’s body and captivates the audience. It masterfully combines the sound of Spanish guitars, castanets and Bizet’s original music, enhanced by expressive live flamenco singing.
