Agios Theodoros
Agios Theodoros is a central residential area of Paphos, located within the urban part of the city in the south-west of Cyprus. It is not a separate village, but a city neighbourhood that forms part of everyday life in Paphos and is often chosen by locals and long-term residents.
The area takes its name from the Agios Theodoros church, dedicated to Saint Theodore. The church is a well-known local landmark and an important part of the neighbourhood. Around it, the area has developed as a calm residential zone with traditional houses, narrow streets and a typical Cypriot atmosphere.
Agios Theodoros has a convenient central location close to key parts of the city. The old town, the Paphos Archaeological Museum, green public spaces and main city streets are within walking distance. Public transport routes run nearby, making the area suitable for living without a car.
The neighbourhood features mixed development, with older stone houses alongside more modern residential buildings and apartments. Small local shops, cafés, bakeries and everyday services can be found nearby, providing everything needed for comfortable daily living.
Agios Theodoros is considered a quiet and residential area, while still being closely connected to city life. It is a good choice for those who want to live in the centre of Paphos, close to historical sites and infrastructure, but away from the busy tourist zones along the coast.
The area is also of interest from a property perspective. Due to its central location and steady demand, real estate in Agios Theodoros is suitable both for permanent residence and for rental purposes. The neighbourhood remains one of the parts of Paphos where everyday local life can be experienced without a strong resort character.
